Got a deadline for 4:00.
I think of what to say.
They stop and point.
I remember you well
when we were in our vault.
Everything; it’s all my fault.

Everything I did, I did it.
I ask for forgiveness.
I no longer will play victim.

Maybe that’s the point of poetry .
Pressure ’till you have to change.
‘Cause not even the tides remain the same.
The sea always changes.

This is my pressure point,
You apply pressure
to stop the blood from
coming.
Spilling out of
ink stained notebooks
in varsity high.

Who knew one day
I’d be this guy.
Apply your knowledge
and soar the sky.
Life is too short
to not do your best.
You fail if you don’t try.
And if you fail, like Denzel said,
Fail forward.

Fall into an oyster egg.
Let your pain and pressure.

Become
Pearls.
