Drag my bones
around the yard
like a dog.

Find me in
a garage,
blood sausage.

Release
my tongue
and let me talk.

Let me
be free
from this vice.

The only
freedom I
have in life

is in
the words
I write.

My drug
of choice
is voice.

To let
people know
I’m feeling low.

To sing a song
when I
don’t belong.

To go for
a walk when I
don’t want to talk.

To not
always have to
answer the phone.

When I really
just want
to be alone.
