For Emerson
There once was a girl
and she lived in a town.
And in this town,
people were always down.
And in this town,
there was a pond.
And in this town,
there was a hill.
And in this town,
there was a blue bird
that would visit
this girl.
Every day,
the bird would chirp,
One day girl,
you’ll save the world.
So when you dream,
dream big.
Dream of clear ponds,
and the greenest hills.
and sleep to dream.
The bird still sings,
Sleep to dream,
little girl,
’cause one day, girl,
You’ll save the world.
