Woke up from a dream.
In the dream I was free, but lonely.
Everything was comedy.
And it only got scary
if you got to know me.
Then my voice would come in
and say, wake me.
And I would get up, eat grapes,
slightly less lonely,
slightly less confused,
slightly less obtuse,
slightly less,
just slightly.
It was 2:30.
I tried to turn the light on.
And couldn’t.
I woke up. It was 2021.
I wanted to turn the world on
Instead.
