My tired eyes look at the screen.
My broken mind tries to unsee what I have seen.
Tomorrow, we have an election.
Democracy in action.
Vote a wolf in, or vote a wolf out.
Politicians.
They salivate at the mouth.
It’s a broken system.
Stool pigeons politicking.
Big buildings going up, walls going down.
It’s cyclic.
The environment is toxic,
breathing in the cement.
Stand in one place, become pavement.
Stay in one place too long, they raise the rent.
My tired eyes look at the screen.
My broken mind tries to unsee what I have seen.
Democrazy.
Tomorrow we have an election.
America, the electoral officials vote.
The bearded dragon or the bearded goat.
Pagans and Christians both believe
in decorating trees, and hallows eve.
My vote has been counted.
Blue vote, footnote.
This cynic has to sleep.

The difference between a democracy and a dictatorship is that in a democracy you vote first and take orders later; in a
dictatorship you don’t have to waste your time voting.
              –Charles Bukowski
