With every passing minute
There is genius in you.
If anyone ever doubts your brilliance
Let them know I think you’re true blue.
In each waking moment
When the light from the window
And the air from the summer wind
Sweeps in your left ventricle
In this moment you’re perfect.
You’re forever beautiful.
The world seems distant
Maybe its view of you is skewed
Thinks your broken, fragile, ruined
Lost, obtuse, confused
But to me you’re spoken word, fresh and new like tropical fruit.
I see beauty in you
Where others see disease
I see flowers blooming in you
That if given time to breathe
I know that you will
Succeed
Far more then I ever did.
Far more then others do.
For me I see the truth
I see no need for second guessing
Nothing fleeting or needing forgiveness
Nothing but creativity bleeding
From your skin,
Like ink in a well.
Like water from a spout.
I see genius in you,
I believe in you.
You can do this kid, no doubt.
