For Kip Tiernan Founder of Rosie’s Place
How too many times
have we knelt in this dark shadow
just for relief, for a little bit more
food, housing, care and attention
for just enough,
or those who need it most
or simple justice
as all too many times
before a shelter, school or hospital is built
all over the land great McMansions clutter and pollute the landscape
and rich food and drink flows at the parties of profit
and the partiers and their elites look down from behind the megaphone
of their high bright privilege and say “what’s their problem”?
