One of those Sundays,
when a grey blue sky
serves as my
hopeful backdrop
for today’s activities.
Morning silence
interrupted by
passing traffic
and the foot steps
of determined pedestrians
braving frigid winds
because they always
have places to go
and things to do before
another Sunday happens
followed by another
Monday that is only
followed by an even
busier calendar
of over scheduled days.
Missing are the sounds
and opportunities
to take a breath,
actually breathe, before
another Sunday is lost.
