Faster than a damn speeding bullet
Able to kick ass a billion times my weight
I become my own hero
But even heroes need to take a break.

Some days you need a chocolate chip cookie
And other days you just need
the chocolate chips…by the spoonful!
Sometimes in silence
And Other times against a back drop
Of defiant old school vocals and wisdom
Of Billie, Aretha, Eartha, “MOMS”,
“LADY DAY, Dinah Washington, Zora, Maya
Cause kicking ass a billion times your weight
Is hard work even for a super hero!
