She is a nag and
determined to stay a nag.
Nagging to get what she wants
when she wants what she wants,
which is an everyday event.
Sometimes repeated 7 times a day.

At moments of desperation
she has been known
to infuse her words
with biblical sounding phrases
and desperately add
a prophet’s name or two.

Those who know her never listen.
They walk away before volume increases.
Then God intervenes, clouds fill the skies
and rain falls at a crazy pace.
Her words are drowned by thunder and lightning.
And a quiet Amen finds its way to heaven.
