What a kid,
a mix of curious
and stubborn.

Always engaged
in adventure
and inspired

to experiment,
unwilling to
sit still.

A thinker,
defied her father,
adored her mother.

Wrote books
before she
could spell

filled with crayon
and pencil
illustrations

chronicling
the life of
a hyperactive mind.

Mother’s daughter,
father’s nitemare,
a tough little warrior

who traveled with
and was protected by
Princess,

a fierce
and faithful
little dog.

The pair
always
returned home,

exhausted from
their day-long
adventures.

Each reprimanded,
sent to their
respective corners.

A stubborn kid
who rebelled against
bedtime schedules

but eventually
fell asleep
after a story

that would inspire
dreams, another day
of adventure

for a girl warrior
and her fierce
companion.
