Hard to navigate
when the only one you see
is you.

Harder still to realize
that it was you
who abdicated your power.

Easier to believe
someone took it
by force

than to the face the truth,
that you gave yourself
away willingly,

traded your strength
for trinkets, bits of worthless
doubts, insecurities.

The gate keepers
who kept you from your life
were birthed by you.

Realize your life
from this time on will be built
upon the truths you choose.

You must never abdicate
the gifts passed on to you
by your ancestors

or the spirit
growing inside you.
And always understand

the doors you open
shall be the dreams
you will make real.
