Truth and justice
have been: crucified,
stoned, drowned, lynched,
laid out in unmarked graves,
hung from low lying tree branches.

Liar, liars have set the world
on fire and tears are not enough
to put out the flames.

At times, I sigh …
it seems that truth and justice
were/are the myths given to help us
get through another day!
