I paint, draw, write, talk,
Listen, don’t listen.
Just started a new technique
Drawing my inspiration from walls,
floors, ceilings, literally

I squinted, stared,
Looked away, stared again
Then I saw the image…
A dog, a sweet, friendly face,
Non-judging.

A vision
compelling me to capture/transfer
Put it down on paper
Connect the cracks with the lines
Highlighting etc.

That ah-ha moment
Reinventing the image
From wall to sketchbook page

Now that you know,
seeing walls, floors, skies
May never be the same.
