Tired.
Long days leaving me dazed.
Reality changes by the minute.
To be masked or not,
that is the question.

Everyone has an answer,
but who knows?
Really, no one knows
what will happen these days,
which leaves us more dazed.

There is no security
in an upside down world.
People needing people
or seeking real dialog
with real people is rare.

I want to learn
to move with ease
in a world where
COVID numbers
change often.

Who knows what?
And who cares who knows what?
People being people,
believing they are
immortal in a mortal world.

We are looking
for answers
in places
where answers change
by the minute.

Does anyone speak
with kindness or truth?
People being people
means little when
people don’t care.

And do people care?
In reality,
some do
And some
don’t.

Some folks don’t
want to wear masks
because they believe
they have
immunity.

These are the people
who really think
their sh*t don’t stink,
living among people
they don’t care about.

so exposing
others to COVID,
well that’s just
how it is among
the self-serving.

Suddenly
the line
between hipsters
and conservative
is fading.

They have found
common ground
at an uncommon time.
Beginnings and endings
are always changing

There is no time to inhale.
But there’s still time
to be in the now and pray
that we and our souls survive
now and many more tomorrows.
