Too many people
are settling
for half truths.

Finding
comfort
in fiction.

Creating own
narratives
to support

what they claim
are facts, which
rationalize

their actions,
a mixture of lies,
denial, self interest.

Someone somewhere
works nonstop
to recreate reality,

a reality
that will lock us
into a world

where lies
are embraced
and the value

of truth
decreases
every second.

Convenience,
the nation’s
drug of choice.

Another day
passes and
nothing changes.

Miseducation
endorsed as
acceptable.

The clock
is turning
backwards.

The people
continue on
hoodwinked.

When will truth
and justice
prevail?
