Fears, doubts,
insecurities
grow wild
left unwatched.

These forces
just don’t
disappear
on their own.

They can grow
powerful,
reshape themselves
into spirits

that must be
attended to
immediately,
with vigilance.

Watch how others
choose to
keep them
alive,

consciously,
unconsciously
to resurrect fears
and old doubts,

shredding
minds, souls,
leaving behind
twisted trees

that are bare,
fire breathing
dragons,
scorched earth.
