Does God have a backup plan?
Especially since there are
So many variables?
Given the mix of personalities
On the planet and in the universe
I am hoping for a backup plan
With insurance coverage to guard
Against the stray winds
Of blowhards and dummies
Who trade and negotiate on anything
They don’t own or care about.

About that backup plan?
Who’s included?
You? me? them? us?
What’s included?
You know heaven would be a great place
To hang out with angels and saints.

So I pray a lot
Taking comfort in the idea
That God got more than us.
God got God!
Amen.
