A Twist of JP Lime: Autumn in New England

Boston Autumn

As Summer fades and sunny days give way to Autumn’s dawn…

I don a light windbreaker and await a rainy calm…

Throw my hoodies the laundry, get ’em fresh and clean for Fall…

Make sure pizza, wings, and beer are near, we’re ready for football…

The college kids unload their things from U-Hauls for the dorm…

A lovely shiny sun succumbs to lovelier rain storms…

The forest green of wilderness transforms to multi-color…

As Autumns go, New England’s flow is truly like no other…

The scent of the Atlantic Ocean travels in the breeze…

Through Quincy and the Seaport as we breathe serenity…

And exhale the stress away, relax….

Put on that Boston Red Sox cap…

And catch a Playoff game perhaps…

Or just Fall back and take a nap…

The windows cracked with no A.C. nor heat at sixty-five degrees…

Ideal weather for jogs or walks through city streets and suburb parks…

Pumpkin Spice is back at Dunkees and the Pats back at Gillette…

Yes, it’s Autumn in New England, much better it doesn’t get…

New England Autumn
