Between Us
There’s a distance between us,
A space filled with words unsaid,
Times when silence cuts deeper than words,
And although we clash like the opposites of colors,
I know your love is in every shade.
Your hands, so giving, have built me up,
But sometimes they feel far away,
The warmth of your care,
And the cold of your misunderstanding,
Both live and dwell in me.
Still in times of peace,
I see the woman who’s given me everything,
And I hope I can find a bridge,
To cross this rocky road together.
