Magic Mushrooms

Moroseness lasting months on end requires

A dose or two of magic mushrooms—they

Get rid of negativity on wires

Inside the brain, and keep the blues at bay.

Cornell researchers Alex Kwan and Co

Made mice (who likely did not feel depressed

Until they gave them rabies) undergo

Synaptic imaging to manifest

How mushrooms do this trick, and found that mice

Receiving psilocybin show decline

Of loopy wiring. So, here’s sound advice,

Objectively inferred: sad mice should dine

More frequently on magic ‘shrooms … Do you

Suppose it’s sound advice for humans too?
