Word Vomit
inside my gastrointestinal tract
lives a little man
he likes to play cat’s cradle
with my large intestine
the rumble emitting is the rock show
he orchestrates every evening
where he pelts igneous rocks
at my stomach lining
then I’m stuck leaning over the toilet
vomiting up apologies and warm beer
I’m sorry. I’m sorry. I’m sorry.
I’m sorry. I’m sorry. I’m sorry.
Kaleigha Easterly is not a poet and is based in Berkeley, California. Rather she is a kombucha-drinking, tree-hugging, sunset-chasing, fervent student radical who dabbles in the arts. Her most valued possession is a pair of wired earbuds. Which remain eternally tangled and seldom leave her ears- shitty podcasts and old music are the uniform for them.
Edward Michael Supranowicz is the grandson of Irish and Russian/Ukrainian immigrants. He grew up on a small farm in Appalachia. He has a grad background in painting and printmaking. Some of his artwork has recently or will soon appear in Fish Food, Streetlight, Another Chicago Magazine, The Door Is A Jar, The Phoenix, and The Harvard Advocate. Edward is also a published poet who has been nominated for the Pushcart Prize multiple times.
