Inflatable Frogs against Fascism
We have all seen them from Boston to D.C. to Denver to L.A.
We have heard their voices and seen the wonderful way,
that our fellow Americans have chosen to exercise their
1st amendment right to express their opinions in the most unique way.
By dressing up as inflatable frogs,
This costume choice is a lighthearted chance for protesters to say we are nonviolent.
What has all these inflatable frogs up in arms, and singing the Michigan Rag?
You may ask, they feel angry and belittled by an administration,
that is threatened by the expansion of the founding father’s original ideation.
That all the people of this earth deserve veneration and to be treated as human.
Also, that a fair and free Democracy exists to protect a and defend its citizens.
Not to wallow in the hypocrisy of its self-serving leaders.
As we see the country stand up to these bullies, that we elected and put into power,
We must ask what we Americans can do to ensure there is not a repeat performance.
The answer is simple, follow the inflatable frogs.
Stand up with pride, and let your voice be heard, and vote for them out’.
Only then can we say that the American people have won the day.
I support the inflatable frogs against fascism, and their quest against tyrants.
Kaleb Wilson lives in the Black Forest, just north of Colorado Springs. it’s like Denver only more stunning. “I am truly proud of the way my fellow Coloradans came out for no kings day. I sat down and wrote this poem the next day.”
