Night Stands

it’s the night
after the one night stand
and she’s still here

you’re wondering does that make
two one night stands or one two night stand

it’s a year later
and you’re still together

your head spins
at the possible computations

all those nights
all those numbers

you’re talking commitment
just to cut down on the math
