Metamorphoses

Echo is hot and she knows it
but Narcissus has ignored every signal
even when she wasn’t being subtle.
She’s started to worry the boy might be gay.

He seems to spend all his time
hunting in the woods with a bunch of his BMFs.
Echo thinks maybe they’re all gay
so she decides to up her game.

She takes some selfies of her cute figure
reflected in the still water of a mountain pond.
The best one shows a perky breast from the side
as she looks over her shoulder with a poutyface.

She attaches it to a blank text
and hits send on her iPhone.
This should get any straight boy’s attention.
Sure enough, within a minute she gets a ping.

“Hey babe. OMG Nice pic.
Love the pond. Where are you? LMK
I’ll meecha there.
She texts him back, meecha there.

He texts her, well where is this place?
She texts him back, this place?
Her texts her back, well just forget it then.
She answers, forget it then.
