We Are Still On Guard Duty

We are still on guard duty
awaiting the slaughter,
Cherishing the quiet solitude
before the screaming terror
of living bodies morphing into death.
The attack has been delayed,
We still have time to think of women
smoke some cigarettes
awaiting
coma
while we’re still alive.
