Time to think, process the unthinkable
Look at the ground, oh how it spins.
Feeling less than average and more down then up.
What’s in your red cup? Have you had enough?
Sounds like a scream from an open beer can.
Maybe that truth serum will set you free.
Running on empty and eventually will run out.
Was this your idea of a good weekend?
I said I would stay with you.
Till your drink is through.
But three is better than two.
You can rely on me friend, I’ll do the right thing.
If only I knew what the right thing was to do.
I don’t and neither do you, maybe time will tell us
What the best thing to do for us both.
The sun is down, the stars are out.
You have what’s in your red cup, and you call it love.
I have nothing but time
And time for me is enough.
