I never saw
your lyre play.
Not Chesapeake Bay
could make me stay.
I wonder where you
are my love?
I passed away today.
I saw you distant
in the other glove.
I saw you funneled
out of mind.
I waved goodbye.
You laughed
and waved me on.
An angel in
the great beyond.
I see you,
dance towards you.
I laugh in your light.
We dance by candlelight,
in some other time.
Pinned a rose to my lapel.
