Tough times for folks.
Big demand, short supply
of patience.
People in
hyperactive mode
or stuck in unsure space.
Salutations
too often replaced
by silence.
Priorities change.
Seconds pass, days
too fast or too slow.
Feels like we are
caught in whirlwinds
or unsettling calm.
Does anyone say
hello anymore?
And when they do…
Do they share
the greeting
with reservation,
contemplating who
is worthy of hello
and who is not?
Baffled, I recall
a saying said somewhere.
“People are people.”
