Freshly poured
gray cement squares
intended to be
sidewalk trivia
were mysteriously
transformed into
oversized rectangles
with well worn
pieces of asphalt
later rumored to be
re-reshaped following
today’s afternoon
crazy rain, eventually
repositioned
among the twig.
~~~
It was rumored
that this last
reincarnation
of whatever
was made to
accommodate the
daily reshaping
of twigs and leaves
due to increased
wear and tear of street
and pedestrian traffic.
~~~
Freshly poured
cement sidewalks
appear as
imperfect
backdrops
for wind-blown
inspired abstractions
of trees bent
and leaves spun
in concentric circles
of wild wind.
