A car in need
of muffler repair
disrupts morning quiet.
Minutes later,
another car passes.
Silence returns
for about five minutes.
Then more traffic
passes and by now
the birds
have started
chirping away.
More traffic follows.
It’s official.
It’s time to
wake up earlier
than planned.
And as always
I look up
to the sky,
say thank you
and wish all on earth
and in the universe
a joyful day.
