Hello World, People on Earth aka Earthlings.

I extend my greetings, and prayers to those of you I know as well as to all the people I have yet to meet.

Extending a hello and well wishes is one of those exercises I work on doing everyday, multiple times a day.

Some folks think this is an odd practice. What I think is odd is limiting blessings and prayers that only acknowledge the people you know, look and think like you, attend your church, live in your neighborhood and so on.

Why do so many people choose to abide by lists with so many restrictions and rules which contradict the Ten Commandments? Where did the restrictions come from? Did God ask for edits or feedback?

I thank God that God has a sense of humor, is patient and doesn’t judge us the way we judge others.

It’s difficult to imagine God demanding that everyone speak one language or that we only pray for people who only look like us, attend the same church, and so on.

It’s curious how people seem so eager to reinterpret the Commandments to simplify their lives and or justify their decisions as how they will treat others!

Let’s just be grateful that God is God, will keep that great sense of humor, and patience with us as we continue to learn how to live together on the same planet.

Can I get an Amen!

As – salaam Aleykum (peace be to you)
