How is that that racism, sexism, classism, inequality, poverty, injustice and hate remain recurrent themes in human history? How is that some things never change?
Because we are people. We are inclined to get in our own way and step on our own shadows as well as the shadows of others.
How is it that so many people choose convenience over truth?
Because truth is not convenient, it isn’t always easy to live with because it is truth.

God is the ultimate optimist. God believes in us more than we believe in ourselves because God sees in us what we do not see. If only we could in us what God sees in us.

Hospital food is hospital food. Some people say there are no adjectives to describe it. Others gag. The only person who enjoyed hospital cuisine was the grandmother who never had a harsh word about anyone. She loved us all, accepted us as we were.
