Trying to sleep
while the mind’s
in overdrive,

mixing images
and bits of
conversations

that randomly
collide and
mingle with

memories that
linger in soul
from whenever,

re-editing
random mixes
of more memory

to become
the stories
and dreams

that fill
our minds
while we sleep,

desperately
trying to
continue,

to recreate
more images,
more stories

that mix bits
of this and that,
eventually

becoming dreams
that inspire
and birth

more thoughts
that enable
us to move from

today to
whenever to
tomorrow, beyond.
