The Devil’s Bride/Bridegroom

I awoke this morning
From a dream in which
I married the Devil (he/she/they).
At times, in the ceremony,
He was in a dark top hat tuxedo,
At times in a laced white wedding gown.
Always suave and debonaire,
Always alluring with wide flirty eyes.
You know, he whispered,
I contain multitudes but honey,
You’re the only one for me.
We planned on Honeymooning
Some place swim suit warm
But not too hot.
And, of course, with low humidity.
Both winged Angels and Demons
Mingled in attendance,
Bearing so many gifts.
At least five Myrrh scented fondue pots,
Toasters, melon ballers, etc. etc.
When I awoke from said dream
My finger seemed fitted
For some wrong fingered ring.
My question to you
Dear Abby, do I have to
Write the thank you notes
For the many, many gifts?
