Float Sam! Float!

If you need floods and rainstorms,
local citizens and floating pigs

start this collection of photos,
Submerged Lands.

The above photo
taken in the country-level city-

a man in a plastic tub
taking a joyride-

This small dog, purposeful,
to take his young boy into man-deep waters,

Despite the devastion
the people found ways to resume.

Salting the Silence, Above Beijing

Three a.m. the sky cracks,
pyro beasts scream to the night,
high above blood rustic flags & kites
they ululate, their illumination
their war ballad.
Quiet creeps into her bricks, while silence
is wrested, abused on the path,
as we stand full eyed
alien
and cruel.

Soon the tired-men arrive, waving goodbye
light slips through their stigmatas, before turning
to stitch each other into the buildings
deep down into the bricks.
Finally the spears,
satisfied, burst
into the mouth of their conductor
who bites his cresendo
shaking the old days from the dusts
and the lost dogs from their crooks.
