Avoid false joy like you avoid triggers
False joys are little things hiding you from something bigger
Escapism removes the tools from the digger
Ironically creates a deeper cylinder
Inaction is action
A willing pause
I choose to sit and review every cause that has me lost
My tear ducts Niagra Falls strong
No one to blame I chose my Tango partners
No one to blame I forgive so it’s impossible
My forgiveness is a sympathetic peace
If you meant to hurt me that was what was meant to be
I rewrite the outcome by healing
I understand every mind is dealing
With triggers escapism and false joys
I want to walk these lands with no decoys
How I feel is shatter proof
Even under attack by sheepskin clothed wolves
I choose to feel no matter how much it hurts
I know you know the hurt
It’s why the choices exist: run numb or dig up from under the dirt
I know my Karma has been redirected
I’ve made decisions that harmed others while I was still deflecting
Myself from mirror reflecting
Self forgiveness is a consuming challenge
Even when the harmed bless your head with acceptance
Your Shadow lingers
I avoid false joys like I avoid triggers
Triggers can’t be controlled they’re unexpected visitors
You don’t have to let in
False joys however are sought out distractions
I choose to hurt to understand its source and change the course of my flow
When I feel myself drowning I choose to float not rush onto any boat
That’ll sail me away to Forget Island
Winds travel everywhere
You’ll be found
I choose to be sound
By allowing the deafening noise of hurt to wear itself out
See itself out
Then slowly recover from that bout.
