They booed Der Tramp in In Tennessee
a wonder to behold, did he hear it?
Yessirreee
A wonder to behold
the clammy damp hand of Maga on the state
Has broken now and bold, isn’ it great.
The independent streak affirmed
The blinders off the face
And when on jumbo-tron appeared
Big ol’Booing filled the place
The pacer cars, had left the bars
The football fans all were heated
But holy moly not a moment too soon
when he appeared on the jumbo tron
He with jeering boos was greeted
But these ill educated, all juiced up
All those under-educated all used up, here to cheer the athletes
He expected? Great huzzah, instead the sound of traffic
honk honk all neglected, tragic
It might’a been crickets, it could a been rebel yells
But what it was, that he was greeted, with was more like
a big ol’ go to hell
it was not at all, what he needed
It was with boos, that he was greeted
There at the game that very day
Instead of basking in adoration,
he hied himself right out of there in a state of agitation
For when upon the jumbo-TRON, HIS MASSIVE FACE APPEARED
RIGHT THERE IN RURAL TENNESSEE
THE ILL-Educated, stood up and JEERED!
They was there to cheer for foot baller heroes
and there what they saw was that big old fat orange zero
He left , he fled away, tail between his legs he ran away
When his jet did its flyby. He couldn’t hear but all those
TENNESSEEANS AGAIN ALL JEERED – good bye!
IT’ll ring in his ears, that ten thousands jeered
When that bloated unvoted visage appeared to jeers
When even under educated simply stated
all that he was, it was all now hated
They booed Der Tramp in Tennessee.

Richard Spisak began his artistic career as a light artist in the Lumonics Studios of Mel Tanner, a legendary Light Artist. After serving under Jack Horkheimer as a planetarium operator at the Miami Space-Transit Planetarium, he left to begin traveling with Lumist Kenvin Lyman, whose show Dazzleland Studios traveled across America. Richard later worked as a Laserist with LASERIUM and Laser Productions, served as a technical producer for the festival company PACE Concerts, and later as operations Manager and Senior Producer at WWHP and WTCN-TV in Stuart Florida.
Richard writes for Theatre, TV, radio, and the web. He published two short story collections, Two Small Windows, in a Pair of Mirror Doors, and Between the Silences. Followed by his poetry collection 7370 Allen Drive and the recently released STONE POETRY. Richard also produces “POETS of the East,” a televised webcast featuring poets from across the globe.
