The Mentor

If I thought the world would die
Because you could not receive my love
Mirror the mirror
I was misunderstood
Fled from the city to rural Savannah
Weep tears of a good woman’s blues
Who felt stung
Woe of the delicate needle
Needle to the veins of false affections
Fell to earth like a Falling Star
You had the Adams curse
To spurn my Valhalla
I was love’s comfort
The dawn’s surprise
Accepted you to live in the afternoon happiness
I was the charm of your winter
I cry not for spilt saccachrine
Sitting by the Weeping Willows
I am consolable, comfortable
I see butterflies cascade over the blue waters
Reflects my love that flew back into its sanctum
