After Being Haunted by Benedict Cumberbatch
in Power of the Dog

glitter eyes
diamond cut
burns
a hole in the sky

I can’t escape those eyes

everywhere
I turn
they
follow me and finally
catch me

I melt

s i z z l I n g

like
fire
in
snow

Arlene Geller: “Took a number of risks in my 70th year, including sending out two poetry manuscripts, which I am grateful were accepted and published, and moving to a new area after 45 years in an area I loved.
