Jagged Thought #543: LUCCI’s Song

Jagged Thoughts

I just heard the news
that you left this world
a note.
It was a poem not written
like a ghost.

You want me to be here for you.
I am and maybe it’s too late now.
Life, and a life lived well.
Let God break the spell.

I’m sorry, I don’t even know what
the meaning of this is.
Understanding, I don’t,
probably never will.

Compassion, that feeling that
boils when in love.
It’s not in me LUCCI,
but maybe once it was.

Caring. I suppose was your most
precious gift.
You spoke to me when I was empty
giving all that you could give.

I will never understand
why people do what they do
And why they think
What they think.

Rest easy my friend,
you are at the right
side of the king.

Rest easy, soldier.
Let the words you wrote
stay.

Leaving a hole in my heart,
questioning everything.

ISO yo.
ISO yo
ISO yo

Never knew what it really meant,
but you’re with God now,
on the right side of
the king.
