New Naïve #2
If everyone says
The same thing
Is it true?
Am I a pretty puppet?
Just playing a part?
Or coming through
Clearly for once?
The past grows
Skin & bone
Thought a rebirth
Every morning
Would rest & expose
But they carry old
Corpses
Days & months
Everyone’s guarded
I’m easy
…In my many senses
Subconscious smell
Of a past around stray
Feel my
Freedom
Radiating
Inner sun
I’ve crossed the line
I’ve stood my ground
What am I really
Getting away with?
Who wants to kill
Peter pa man
With reality medication
Whispered dying pleas
To paper butterflies
Fluttering away
With lost translations
So wrong
Thinking I changed people
How naïve
Everyone changed me
