Our world changed so quickly,
there was no time to blink.
Inhaling/exhaling
accomplished in half breath.

Official to do list
reduced to scribbles in sand.
Now we find ourselves living
in a Miles Davis universe

where letters of the
alphabet are remixed,
unlikely combinations
of rhythm and reason.

The battle between realism
vs. whatever will continue
because there are times when
“whatever” is all we have.

But it seems our reality
also mirrors “Twilight Zone,”
which reveals the possibility
that the end ain’t always the end

but a new beginning…
