There have been lots of theories offered to explain the outcome of the Presidential Election 2016. My theory? fashion malfunction.

Did anyone pay attention to Hillary’s dress? Not the dress so much, but the color.

What misguided soul suggested that Hillary should wear red? No Democrat in the US should be wearing Republican Red anything on Election Night. Hell, Republicans don’t even wear that much red.

Sports teams don’t wear the colors of their of opponents. So why would a Presidential candidate wear the color of the opposing party?

I am belaboring the point for another reason. Wearing the opposing party’s color sends a subtle/subliminal message, like defeat. I heard someone say red is a power color, but that theory becomes meaningless when we are talking about US politics.

Hillary Clinton would have been stunning in a Democrat Blue ensemble. If she wanted to glam it up, she could have incorporated various shades of blue. Blue is calming and dignified. I

know there were other factors involved in Hillary Clinton’s defeat. I just felt compelled to throw my theory into the mix/color mix.
