Poem by Phil Huffy

Montmartre

Souvenir oils
render Parisian scenes

A wide boulevard
is trod by giants

City landmarks
look strangely out of joint,

too big or tiny
to reside as shown

Shops right and left
with unmatched dimensions

and random shadows
as if from two suns

Souvenir oils
painted by many hands

Brought home in checked bags
then proudly displayed
