The Underground Garden: A Man’s World by A Woman

Poison Pen
People can’t tell me
I can’t be strong
In that stance, they’ll be wrong
I stand strong

It’s not that I’m not flexible or wear a blindfold
I’m a cautious listener
Everything I hear is old

You can’t tell me that what is right is for me to be weak
….er
You’re already trying to weaken my foundation

My strength bothers you

So
I should change to accept what I do not accept
Because you can’t find a way
To speak your feeling
Because your feeling is
Negative

And I’m not trying to feel that way too.

Now
From where I stand I’m strong
And it bothers you
Because logic is magic

Logic is the entire situation
Logic is truth on all sides

People can’t tell me not to be strong

But I sure will tell people when I find myself wrong

But so long as my song is a tune of the truth
I’ll hum on
While you drum on
About my guard

If you feel defensive check your offense before you get near
I can sense it from afar
I still wish for you the stars
But don’t leave yourself scarred
Because I didn’t need your help getting the lid off of the jar

People can’t tell me I can’t be strong
People can’t tell how strong I am
Or am not.

But people sure like to tone down my flex when when it’s aimed at their necks as I deflect their sword through my flesh.
This is not a test.

People can’t tell me I can’t be strong
When I defend
My Peace.

I’ll give it all I have as it is all I have and it belongs to me.

Kisses from this Beast.
