As happens so often when I woke up I knew.
I knew why Trump chose those seven countries
from which to institute a ban on immigrants —
the list was almost identical to the list the
Bush/Cheney regime had of again 7 countries
in which they proposed to engineer regime change
at the beginning of the Global War that is the
endless forever Long war of, by and for terror
all to be accomplished in just five years yet here
we are15 years later and Donald J. Trump’s
new appointee to the Cold War institution
of the National Security Council gave a speech
in the Vatican about the 21st Century global
holy war that must be fought against “Islamic
Terrorism” and somehow simultaneously Secularism
and I finally got it, I woke up as I woke up and I knew
they were closing off seven countries that the U.S.
(that is us) in fact had bombed or committed
acts of war on in the last year because the they that is
the U.S. (that is all of us) were planning not just Obama’s
drone strikes and night time assassination raids,
not just cyber warfare and clandestine regime change
but open warfare on at least seven different countries
and they were closing the gates of the U.S. (again all of us)
before the blowback from their wars could be blamed on them.
