Bamboozled No More! The Mourning After

Overconfident maybe? corruption behind the scenes, maybe?
I mourn for me and you
Betrayal
Now is the time to do the soul searching.
Begin again, but this time with open eyes.
When was the last time you really listened to the stories of others?
When did you last stand up to protect another?
When did you last acknowledge the pain of another?
When did you stop the hate talk? Those
were Not jokes or mindless banter.
When will you acknowledge the reality of privilege bestowed
by race, age, gender, class, appearance?
When will notice that the characters on stage
don’t always have to look like you?
When will you remember to stop referring
to the United States as a continent.
We are a part of of something greater.
I keep telling you size does matter.
Too many questions???
Stop telling me I am preaching to the choir!
Preaching to the choir?
What does that the even mean?
Just another way of passing the buck. AKA “It’s not me, it’s them!
Well guess what? your choir sucks!
You are off key, lack rhythm, feeling and the lyrics need to be updated.
I get it.
Singing is easier than listening.

I dare you to share my message..But if you do remember to let people know who I am and that these are my words…I am aware of your habit to claim credit for things you didn’t write or do.

With love and commitment to my truth
