The Underground Garden: Dora Maar

Insufferable
Insatiable
MisunderstoodDora Maar
Girl good
Womanhood
Following the rules
Rules written
Accepted
Before the apple bitten
Offered by illusionary
Illusory lover
Marry me happy me
Also pure deceit
Joys lost in the sounds of laughter Maddening
Unseen unheard burdens of the heart
Fragile mentality
Slowly coming apart
Remedy in forms of art
Poetry photography
Anything
Just set me free
Loving needing sanity
Seeking remedies
Not the woman viewed as solely slowing weeping
Seeking life’s return
Through shocking therapy
Returning to the rosary
Believing prayer will erase the memory
A life lived in misery
Because love added to the misery
Dora Maar you teach
A lover in a depressive state is never a mistake
A lover’s intense grip is a whisper not a cry
Some lovers they do die
When all the blood spilled from their heart falls before wandering eyes
Muse a muse a muse a muse
Such an honor when you’re chosen
Wear the title on the end of a train but never any higher
Never lose your identity for the sake of passion
Crossing stars burn quicker than the fires of the sun
Lovers who seek inner peace burnout quicker than a flare
If you find before you a lover with an empty stare
I urge you find no beauty in their despair
And do not love them if you do not care
For them a lifetime lost in misery is passed your finish line
Insufferable depression is a fragile state of mind
The bait is stability
The hook a gentle touch
Your catch a soul attached
Heed and love them back
Or step back.
Dora Maar you teach.
