Seven Times #80: Pascal’s Triangle and Steinbeck’s Silent Awe

Rousseau rests at the stonewall
By writ of recaption the rider recovered his stolen jealousy
He feels rightest of all
Beneath the Redwoods, the ambassadors of another time
Yet retains his ratbag personality

When the raptors talons are upon you
Speak his name with a rhotacized Rrr
Tell him you share his ribonucleotide reductases
Show him where the Nazi’s ratlines end
He’ll show you where the raftsman waits
